4.0.1 Cataclysm water effects
Posted by: | CommentsPatch 4.0.1 is introducing the new water effects engine Blizzard has designed for Cataclysm. Its a much needed upgrade if you ask me. I can remember loading up Morrowind back in the day (was it 2002?) and even that had pixel shaded water effects! The video below shows off the effects. The question is will my gaming machine be able to handle the effect? I hope it is, or I’m off to buy yet another graphics card, lol.
Patch 4.0.1 Class Mechanics Changes

The class changes for patch 4.0.1 are listed after the break guys. This is the main systems change before Cataclysm, none of the world itself is being changed yet. This is kinda like when wrath hit, the class systems were changed to bring them into line with the new content. Anyway enough of my blabbing, hit the read more to see the full statement by blizzard.

Tenacious D at BlizzCon 2010
Posted by: | CommentsBlizzard annouced today that Tenacious D will be performing at the closing ceremony of the 2010 BlizzCon. They’ll be on stage come Saturday evening closing down the house! Those people lucky enough to have access to the live BlizzCon stream will be able to watch the whole show. In case you don’t know who Tenacious D are, watch the embedded youtube clip below ;)

Posted by: | CommentsPretty much as the title says, MMO champion is reporting they expect the extended maintenance taking place on all US realms this Tuesday, October 12th.
We will be performing extended maintenance on Tuesday, October 12th. Maintenance will begin at 12:00 AM PDT and conclude at approximately 12:00 PM PDT. During this time, all realms and many web services will be unavailable.

It looks absolutely fantastic. Uldum is literally blowing my mind, the detail on the zone is awe inspiring. Twilight Highlands also look totally crazy. I can’t wait to get into these zones.
Cataclysm is really starting to take its toll on me lol, knowing the launch date is killing me. I can’t wait I need it NOW baby, NOW!!!!!!!!!!! (I also need to chill out lmao)
Let me know what you think guys, we really need to get some good solid discussion going here at waranvil. The websites not getting enough use by the community! Lets fix it :)

Plants Vs Zombies Quest In WoW: Cataclysm

This is awesome. This new Peacebloom vs Ghouls quest from the latestest beta build of cataclysm is a recreation of Plants vs Zombies by PopCap. The quest can be found over in Hillsbrad Foothills. Its almost a perfect recreation apart from the lack of plants, there only seems to be the six. But still for a quest, I’m not complaining this looks awesome I can’t wait to get my hands on this. The movie clip below gives a full run down of the full quest series, so look away if your scared of spoliers.

Horde – Kron’Kar Annihilator
Alliance – Reins of the Golden King
The Horde mount wins hands down for the name, nobody can argue that! However I do kinda think the Alliance one does look better. I really can’t imagine guild banners draped on the back of that scorpion, well I can but they sure aint looking to good in my minds eye lol!
